Following an introductory Chapter written by Lanny Kraus, there are 18 Chapters written by prominent philosophers, ethicists, scientists, veterinarians and others that deal with the use of animals in research. Additionally there are two Chapters dealing with bioethics in general, one concerning "end-of-life" decisions and one, a speculative look to future issues in bioethics.
